Join us for the world-premiere of the pilot episode* of Public Housing Unit, an independent television series based on the true stories of officers and residents set in Chicago's housing projects in the 1980s.
*Immediately following the screening, will be a post screening discussion with the cast and crew.
Set in the late 1980's, 3 police officers take on both lawmakers and lawbreakers as they work to protect the people of Chicago's infamous public housing projects. These cops, the finest the city has to offer, have their morals pushed to the brink as they fight to serve a fragmented community, broken by an unjust system. The series contrasts the human drama inherent to policing a literal war zone with the hopeful attitudes of the individuals that lived and worked in the community. Audiences will be introduced to an as yet unexplored world, following heroic cops as they navigate the grey area between right and wrong.
