4/27 Thur. 19:30-21:30 LIQUID SNAKY MOVES
Whether you are a fusion dancer or a classic bellydancer, the Liquid snaky moves will bring a new dimension to your dancing!
Using Waving techniques, her strong floorwork techniques, deep theatrical root and a lot of creativity, Anasma adapts her Hip Hop Bellydance Liquid Fusion to offer hissing and flowing moves and develop the character of the Snake. Whether it is an Anaconda or a Cobra, a Viper or a Brown Water Snake, whether it is tempting Eve or protecting Medusa’s head, this animal represents power, flexibility, extreme smoothness, temptation and danger. It’s cold bold needs heat and it changes skin regularly. It is the feared and revered.
Embodying the snake more literally or more figuratively, we will focus on specifically on hand and arms, then on the body, dancing on multiple planes (using the floor, the different axes surrounding the body). Anasma will propose combos and/ or a choreography.
4/28 Fri. 19:30-21:30 POWERFUL ARMS, EXPRESSIVE HANDS
In many cultures, the hands say so much, and means very different things. What if we only had our hands to express our feelings and tell a story, relate to each other… Hands on, hands off, energy channels… Be present with your carriage and arms. Give life to your hands. Breath through your fingers. Hands are the temple of the sense of TOUCH. Allowing sensual and sensory exploration, the hands are one point of connection between you and the world, a way of exchanging and a medium of expression. As dancers, hands finish, frame, embellish and define the movement. As actors, hand express an intention, an emotion.
Dancers will start by developing their awareness of their arms, hands and fingers. Then they will work on conveying emotions through their hands and develop characters and stories. Then they will explore some movement ideas borrowed from various dance styles in order to create contrast and open doors of endless creativity. Working through the ideas of control and release. Finally, dancers will integrate this focused work into their regular dancing.
4/29 Sat. 19:30 SHOW
4/30 Sun. 13:00-15:00 GESTURAL MOVEMENT AND STORYTELLING
