Event Description

Board the Celebrity Millennium® in the bustling port of Baoshan, a suburb of Shanghai, and set sail on a 14-night cruise to popular destinations in China, South Korea and Japan. Spend 2 refreshing days at sea before arriving at Tianjin, the closest port city to Beijing. Over the course of 3 adventurous days, you'll have plenty of time to explore the area — perhaps visit Tianjin's Ancient Culture Street, Beijing's hutong neighborhoods or the Great Wall of China's Juyong Pass. Cruise for the next day at sea until landing at the port of Incheon, South Korea, the gateway to Seoul. In Seoul, the country’s capital, there's no shortage of historical landmarks and ancient architecture, including 100-plus museums with an enormous array of national relics.

Your next port is Jeju Island, South Korea, characterized by a volcanic landscape filled with craters, lakes and hiking trails amid lush vegetation. The island’s primary volcano, Hallasan, is the highest mountain in South Korea, standing at 6,398 feet (1,950 meters) tall.

After 1 day at sea, drop anchor at Kobe, Japan, for 2 days of leisure time where you can do as little or as much as you desire! Perhaps experience the Sannomiya district and its busy streets lined with restaurants and stores, or visit Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum to learn all about this legendary Japanese alcoholic drink. Continue to Shimizu in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture, near Mt. Fuji. Stay in this scenic area for views of the highest mountain in the country or learn all about this UNESCO-protected site at Mt. Fuji Visitor Center.

Next stop is Mt. Fuji (Shimizu), Japan. Shimizu is in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture, near Mt. Fuji. Stay in this scenic area for views of the highest mountain in the country or learn all about this UNESCO-protected site at Mt. Fuji Visitor Center.

On the second-to-last day of the cruise, you’ll arrive at your final destination in Yokohama, Japan. From there, venture to Tokyo, one of the most popular metropolitan areas of the world and the epicenter of Japanese culture. Indulge in Tokyo’s finest dishes such as daiginjo (premium sake) and natto gyoza (dumplings filled with fermented soybeans) as you check out the sights. You’ll disembark the next day with memories to last a lifetime.

What we love:
• The Eye of Tianjin Ferris Wheel, in Tianjin, has been ranked as the world’s only Ferris wheel that is built on a bridge; the panoramic city views from the top are worthwhile.
• Jeju Island is well-known for its haenyeo, or “sea women,” who carry on the ancient tradition of shellfish diving with incredible prowess.
• UNESCO added Mt. Fuji to its World Heritage site list in 2013 and recognizes 25 of the mountain’s localities as points of cultural interest. This famed landmark rises 12,388 feet (3,776 meters) at its highest peak.
