No charge for admission and seating is first-come-first-seated.
This was the first State court house and was originally built in 1791. The legislature met upstairs from the courtroom. There is usually seating for about 80 or so on chairs and benches (the benches are in jury boxes beside the performer) and the pair of spiral stairs will actually seat another 20-30. It’s a neat view from the “stage”, which is actually the witness box. The acoustics are excellent and lend themselves perfectly to music.
