Event Description

Join us for this Chicago-premiere pilot* of #WhentheStreetLightsGoOn, which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Set in a small Illinois town in 1983, 15-year-old Charlie (Parenthood's Max Burkholder) discovers a gruesome murder that irreversibly shakes the quiet sububan lives of the town's residents.

*Scheduled to attend: co-writers Eddie O'Keefe and Chris Hutton.

Pilot Description:
In the summer heat of 1983, a string of unusual occurrences in a small Illinois town culminate with the shocking murders of a popular high school girl and her teacher. When 15-year-old Charlie discovers the bodies while riding his bike home one night, the quiet ordinary lives of the town’s residents are forever changed. Written by Chicagoland native Eddie O’Keefe and Chris Hutton, and produced by Steve Golin (True Detective) and Chad Hamilton (Mr. Robot), this suspenseful and moody new pilot is based on one of the top unproduced screenplays of 2011.
